If I could do a mod, it would be to saw out the section behind the grill plate so I could get to the preamp tubes without pulling the power tubes.

Are you with me?

The upper knobs need more space, difficult to adjust :gethim:

Definitely could have made it easier to get to the preamp tubes... On a side note anyone removed the reverb tank from the Mark V? I dont use mine and want to remove it for weight purposes in my rack but wanted to know if removing it has an effect on the amps tone at all.

The tone should be the same as when it's off. The signal isn't going past the reverb knob in the off position. Unplug the leads from the tank and you'll be able to see real easy.

The tank only weight maybe a pound?
I doubt it ways much more than a half pound.

yeah i know it doesnt way that much but anything helps when it comes to a huge rack haha. Plus it'll let my head fit a bit better in its foam space in the rack since it sticks out that little bit from the actual head shell.
