Anyone at allegiant stadium tonight for the AC/DC concert (Vegas) ? Opening band (the pretty reckless) dude was playing wizards with a Gibson EES 335. Tone was killer.
They are sound checking for AC/DC now.

That's awesome man. Allegiant is a great sounding stadium. Love how there's 3 cabs mic'd out of that wall. They're still supreme showmen.

Nice!

I've seen Pretty Reckless a few times. I believe he used MCIIs ten years ago when I last saw them. The same show, later on Aerosmith headlined and Joe Perry had literally 10 different boutique amps on stage....

oh wow, ive never seen one on a stage
Rick was Damon Johnson’s tech when he was playing with Alice Cooper. They played Cleveland and me and my wife met up with him in the afternoon. He took us backstage and showed us around. Damon had a couple Wizards in his rig. He is back doing Brother Cane and still using Wizards.

Most often they are seen across the country at various Madison Square bedroom frachises and Reverb Main Stage.

IIRC, unless Angus switched to a Fractal or Helix, he uses plexis and a Schaffer-Vega wireless system?

Def wireless. It sounded plexi. Unless he was hiding shit… they sound huge. Why change if something works and has worked for 50 years. Tight band for sure.

AC/DC is like Kiss, Aerosmith, etc. they don't need or use a variety of tones...

and some of my favorites are their classic "guitar into amp" tones. Also why I usually play my Marshalls, Engl and Bogner without any pedals, I like the sound of my amps.
