Wut?

Who the fuck is running the show at marshall? A signature amp from a fictional band. where were they 15 years ago with the Dethclock signature Marshall? They'd have probably sold more than this joke. Spinal Tap is one of my favorite movies of all time, but i gotta think this is going to flop.

Marshall has evolved into a lifestyle brand.

All sales go to charity which is good. There’s only 11 that will be sold but faceplates and logos aren’t worth the up charge of the whole amp. My fear is that it’s easily counterfeit for people trying to resell regular amps as fakes.

They have an email farmdrawing for one, so that's cool I guess. "Loudest amp ever" rings hollow though unless this is secretly a Major in disguise. Still entered the contest, but with an email specifically for them so that I can easily track and block spam from them or whoever they sell it to.

I'd consider a Dethklok Marshall

Marshall's quality has gotten so bad, they will do anything to sell something.

Their new / 2025 JCM800 Modified 2203 is pretty darn good though imho.

for literally decades i read people bitching about "why dosent marshall have a modified 800?", then they finally do it.. and people still bitch :dunno:

B/c the "mods" they chose are 40+ yrs behind the curve. "What is a brite cap for $500 Alex".

They wanted a good sounding one, not that thin, chicken scratchy shit they put out

Not commeting anything about prices though. Sound-wise, that amp slays; just my 2 cents.

$3500+ shipping for a production amp w/a "switchable brite cap & built in Metal Zone mod" gtfo>
Just more proof positive Marshall is more worried about the "vietnam fanbase" than the "modded Marshall" crowd.
Deaf ears outta touch yet again & again 45 years and counting.

Just saying - judging the amp alone (bar the price tag) based on how it sounds, it's a smokin' good head. Everything's getting crazy expensive, that's a whole other story.

Well ya know in the current economy if you got $4K to drop by all means. All im saying is Marshall owners have sought out many ways to beef up their own amps since the 1970's.
Im not paying $4K for an amp w/ Hanoi primaries & secondaries.

Dagnall still makes great transformers they just moved to Malta and Marshall doesn't wanna pay the shipping.
They'd rather have their vietnam buddies make trans on the cheap. I have a problem with that.
