So, yesterday I bought this f....ed up Marshall 1960AV! The owned had 2 cats and they kinda messed up the grill but who cares since it was a bargain. Celestion G12 30 made in England
So this is how it sounds like    - low bedroom volume

You have officially reached the two cat per cab limit!

I like the sound of these speakers and this cab much more than the one you posted the other day. It's lets the amp shine without overbearing cab coloration.

Let the sunshine in, face it with a grin!

Haha You and I have quite similar taste in speakers and cabs! I totally agree with you! Love ur clips man, ur the "PEAVEY MASTER"!

Frankly, it's better this way. The more beat to shit a Marshall cab is, the better the tone.

I just got a 1936V with the G12 Vintage and Im loving that speaker. Hell I would love a cab like that. I wanted to put vintage check grill cloth in my cab but since its new I dont really want to take the new grill cloth off.

Great idea! I might do that as well! Yeah that g12 vintage - England is a great speaker!

Sounds killer! Congrats, man.

I always wondered how those Marshall Vintage compare to standard Chinese V30's or Mesa V30's, comparing all 16 ohm versions.

Thx man! It sounds so awesome in the room! I need to find a good mic to start recording! The Chinese v30s sound harsh and dull, that is at least the ones I ve tried

New test, this time using both the 4x12 and my old 2x12!

Hi! I'm really in big trouble here as I am looking for my first rig. After a lot of searching, I found a 1960AV just like yours for 320 bucks and I'm really unsure what to do. I would like a decent modern rock-metal Adam Jones style.

Problem is that after seeing a few videos I noticed a big difference between this cab and a mesa with vintage 30s that Adam uses. I don't have a lot of money and really want to get a good home practice, band rehearsal and gig ready rig so I was thinking about a boss katana 100 mkII head to go with it or should just buy the boss 100 2x12 combo? I would really appreciate some advice.
