Also interested.... :rock:

-great cabs, the A/BHW cabs are one of my favorite MARSHALL cabs, the 55hz GREENBACK's are my favorite GREENBACK's,..of course they sound best with a MARSHALL/MARSHALL style platform, bet the would sound killah with the WIZARD in your sig.

-(personal favorite MARSHALL cab's)-

-4x15 GREENBACK cab's-(pretty much un-obtainium)-
-TV cab's-
-MF cab's-
-8x10 cab's-
-or any old, beat to hell, cup input, B style, with beer stains,factory odd ball colored,with green/black/tanbacks,65's,vented 75's,tattered tolex and grill cloth cab

I have the BHW...
The speakers are kinda bright and punchy...
With a kinda hollow mids...
I added 2 g12H30 heritage 75HZ on the top and now is awesome...

What are vented 75s? Some alternate version of T75s?

-the first generation-(some say the sweetest 75's)-have screened vent holes in the center of the speaker magnets, there the only version i like, not as scooped, more greenback-ish if you can believe it

Great punchy and open sounding cabinet still with good low end and no muddy midrange. Whatchout for danger of fizziness when micing it at the center of the cone, is my only remark about it, otherwise just great tones out of it.

The first version of 75s that followed the 65s, had vents on the back ala 65s..very warm sounding like a GB, more warm mids than a 65. I had a cab from 85 that had the faded black dye, that had those 75s. They came out in 84, and sometime in 85 lost the vents. Any JCM 800 cab with 75s will sound less scooped than a 900 cab, but those first versions were very greenbackish.

Good stuff guys.. thanks.. Ive heard that the 55hz cones are scooped sounding?

I have a 1960BHW, incredible cab great tones great bottom end detailed mids but a little scooped. Built well, metal handles and nice metal jack.

I also have a 1960BX, little more mid open and highs are more focused. Plastic jack and handles. Still awesome.... but the BHW is just epic.

1960BHW = G12H-30 / 55hz

1960BX = G12M-25 / 75hz

-BAAAAHAHA!!!-WTF!!!-

Just curious - isn't the 1960HW the same cab (other than color) as the Silver Jub, which already comes with made in England V30s.

The HW cabs are all birch, including the back. The Heritage g12h-30 speakers are nice, but can be a bit bright if not fully broken in. Personally I find 4 of them a bit much, but I mixed 2 with a pair of Heritage g12m's in a Wizard cab and it's perfect.

whats so funny about that? its one of my best sounding cabs now.

-i laugh because its funny, you replaced maybe the most iconic greenback in CELESTION history with a V-30, not a greenback guy I guess

The HW cabs are a clone of a 1968 Marshall cabinet. The back is birch, thry have metal handles, no cab corners etc. I have a B cabinet, and I also found that heritage g12h-30s to be a. It bright sounding for my amps at the time. But they are amazing after broken in and with some volume.

There's no difference other than badging and the input jack in a jcm 800 vs a jcm 900 cabinet, so the 900 is not going to sound more scooped because of cabinet, the cabinet is the same.

Ahh, I don't think the stock greenbacks were gonna make it in that cab.

75w Creambacks are pretty awesome (I have them in another cab) and I just ordered a set of the Alnico Creams. I always found the greenbacks (at least the modern ones) to be too fuzzy

-have ya still got the 55hz greenbacks!!

-4 ALNICO CREAMS in a 4x12 should fucking lay waste to any mortal speakers!! Of course we can expect clips!!

-I don't get people thinking 55hz, 444 bass coned greenbacks are "bright" compared to 75hz greenbacks, probably is the "not broken in" thing..
