What are you guys replacing your cheap Marshall 412 casters with. The plastic caster bases on my 412 need to be replaced. Anyone using the fender swivel casters with socket base?

I used to use casters Harbor freight, but I was on an industrial strength kick for a while. This entailed removing not only the original wheels and sockets(if the cab had sockets),but also buying the bases to fit the wheels to sit in for the top of the bottom cab. Man,they rolled so well over any surface and were easy to maneuver.

That's what I use on all of my cabs, including retrofitting the Marshalls.

I picked up a set monday and they just came in today. Got some metal replacement handles and some Scumback M55s inbound too to dress a JCM900 1960A 90's era 412. Should turn out to be my best sounding cab pairing those m55s with some m75s. Until this guy Jim can high tail out of CA to AZ and start building naked cabs again...... Better hurry up Jim before that San Andreas fault sends CA into the pacific.

I bought one of my old Naked cabs back from one of my clients this week. It cost more to buy it and ship it than when I sold it 10 years ago. It's for the new cab maker to work from. Shipping is insane. $322 from the East Coast to LA, $156 for packing plus the cab price. Glad I'm only doing this once!

I'm working on getting out of here, but there are no moving trucks available, not even a 9 foot cargo van until January. I got a quote today for a cargo van....sheesh, by the time the mileage charge, rental price and gas is over with it was $1000 plus for 7 days. Just nuts.

I was looking into this myself. I just need the for a Marshall 1936vintage and the marshall part from sweetwater was like $75. I was looking at the Ernie ball ones but I dont want to drill my cab.
