Any recommendations on which kit to go with for a 70's Marshall JMP Super Bass or Super Lead? The 4-input, non-master volume kind – Ceriatone, Metro or Weber?

Metro's store is shut down right now, sadly.

Look at Ceriatone, and maybe upgrade the tranny to a Mercury or something along those lines.

Why are they shut down? I noticed that there's no way to order.

Metro has a dual-output tranny that drops the voltage to the tubes from 495 to 395 for a "brown" effect, I have one in my Friedman modded Plexi, highly recomended if its available for the JMP. Not sure if it is or not. It is switched at the stanby switch ;)

So it's not a permanent thing? The step-down can be switched on and off? Because I'm not after the "brown" sound. I'm after a cranked 70's JMP – evil, meaty, and tight. Like a pissed-off, fat virgin.

Well, it is permanent, the up position is brown, center is standby and down is standard. It is totally stock in the down position.
Looks like trouble at headquarters over at Metro, George is talking about having to regroup
Hopefully this is just a speedbump for them

Yeah, I hope they get through it. Mostly because I want to buy one of their kits. Metro, if you're reading this please work it out so I can give you all my monies!

He says the store will be back up in a couple of weeks, I'm sure it will be.
