IS it a decent practice amp?
I know it's a SS pre but has El 34's.

I believe C Oliva from Savy used one for practice amp or warm up.

The Youtube vids sound very buzzy.................

Thanks in advance.

They are cool amps. Hit one with a boost and they sound great.

I had one as a backup for a few years. As posted above it can sound very good with a clean boost in front of it. That being said, IMO it delivered on the '80's hard rock tones and not much else.

+1 they love boosts. never owned one played one for quite some time though. they sound great :)

EDIT: one thing i will say is they are a little fizzy sometimes. a

Cool amp if you can get one for a good the price. I played one for a few months. Does the 80 decent, never hit with a boost.

Boost is a must! I sold mine to Danny Jacobs after he heard my tone when my band opened for his band Signal!

listen to the first two Candlebox records.

Damn man, I was just wondering what the heck Candlebox used on that first album. To me it sounded like Slash and Neal Schon's best tones!
