I'm sorry, but here's another one to share
I think the Amp is killer! What's your opinion?

I read that Mike changed the voicing (switchable) and added a depth knob!?
Did he add any extra gain, extra 12ax7, or anything else?
Did you compare a stock 2203kk with yours? If so, what are the differences?
Cheers Simon
Ah, ok. Thanks for the Answer! It's a very raw and open amp, yes. The KT88's need to be pushed a littleDoomBuggi":2vj3f7yb said:Simon Dorn":2vj3f7yb said:Hey Doombuggi!

He re-voiced the power-amp section, and the pre-amp section of this amp, added a frequency shift, and a depth control. No extra tubes. It has a ton of crystal clear gain. Currently using only 40% (11 o'clock) on the pre.
There will be a couple more videos coming later. I have been trying to track down the Stock version, so I can do a comparison demo. l can tell you that it sound allot different than stock. Much tighter, and more aggressive. It has all this with clarity. You definitely have to be aware of your technique. You can hear everything, so if you goof, its quite audible, which I like. You can definitely hear the Fortin in this thing. The stuff he does is easy to recognize once you've heard it for a time.
The best amp I've ever owned. Even it has KT88's, which weren't my favorite tubes before. They have grown on me now.

I found that i need to set the Pre Gain to 10 on the stock version the get the overtones and the artificial harmonics i like. With the Beast between 5-7 and the eq accordingly it's quite (but not completely) like boosting with the TS9 (still a little tighter) At Master volume 3 the amp starts to open and tighten things up.
I'm looking forward to hearing the new Clips!
