Modeling they're own amps,WTF just come out with something that sounds good.
That metal tone wasn't very metal, why do they come out with amps that are just "ok"?
Where's they're signature amp? Or high gain amp?
Just my opinion, not Tryin to piss anybody off.
Am I the only one thinking Marshall has had their collective heads up their asses for the past few years? When other companies are out-Marshalling Marshall, there's an issue that could be addressed.
AThe JMD-1 was designed by Marshall engineer Steve Dawson. Steve also is the creator of my favorite amp the Marshall Vintage Modern. Lots of info can be found here... http://marshallvintagemodern.com/viewfo ... 9e84842ea3
I have been interested in these amps because I had some e-mail correspondence with Paul Gilbert and he suggested I look into the amp for more flexibility. I have to say, they really do sound terrible (at least the clips do). Sounds like a Crate with a fuzz pedal. I have no interest in flogging Marshall for trying but it doesn't sound much better than something ART or Digitech would have come out with 15 years ago. Really disappointed...also look very confusing. There is a long video at the guitar world site.
I really like the guy - Monkey Lord - he is a funny bloke, but his amp demos are always buzzy with too much gain and no substance, not sure he is so great as a product presenter.
