Marshall JMP-1 preamp mod and anyone hear from Dave lately ?

Hey guys, anyone ever have Dave mod a Marshall JMP-1 preamp ? I have a marsha (killer amp !) and thought that would be pretty cool to get him to mod a JMP1 preamp.

Also anyone hear from Dave lately, been trying to get my footswitch for my Marsha with no luck for a month.
 
I think he answered some questions yesterday (see threads below) He seems to be pretty busy lately. My amp just got to his shop today...last one I had done Dave signed for it, this time it was a worker named "brunner"- he must be involved in some project.

A quiet Dave is a busy Dave, and that means amps and mods are getting done! :rock:
 
Yeah I'm sure he is busy, Dave is a great guy and super talented but still $3600 for an amp and you can't get the footswitch over a month later is a bit frustrating :<
 
I'm still waiting to hear back from him about modding my amp. Guess he's really busy....

roger that.... what type of footswitch does it take anyway, single button Marshall style?

I called him and told him what I want in my mod, he replied "Cool" and I shipped it to him. He replied that he received the amp and thats it. I'll wait till he sends an invoice. Can't imagine how many heavy hitters walk in with $$$ requesting his service, I'm just an average joe getting an old pawn shop Marshall a mod, but Dave treated me like a Heavy hitter! He'll get back with you.

My experience was way above expectations as well....I paid by check and he shipped out the amp to me before he received my payment int the mail....wonderful guy to deal with!!!

Don't worry too much, Dave is reliable and will take care of you. He monitors this site and the posts, so he should see this one and take care of you ASAP. I think the shop move mucked up his operation a bit.... :doh: I know I sure hate moving! Plus, word is getting out on his work, so he's probably slammed. Have you called Dave? He's always answered his phone whenever I have called. Hope you get your Marsha F/S ASAP!!! :rock:
 
Got the footswitches today. I can send tomorrow. Its the dual one right? Where should it go? email me the address and a reminder. Sorry for any delays guys but there has been a lot going on. Right now i have about 9 mods to do so hang on because i am backed up. Dave

all good talked to Dave, adding a C45 to my marsha and 2nd switchable master ! and he is sending the footswitch :>

For anyone in Manchester NH area I am loaning my Marsha to Never In Vegas's gplayer to use for that show this Sat ! if you want to hear a killer guitar player and a Marsha that sounds like god here is your chance !

I wish I had Dave install the 2nd switchable master when he did the KS mod on my JMP..... :doh:

No problem and I'll still get it done, it's just the drive up to North Holly-Weird from my OC enclave that I don't dig.... :thumbsdown:

I know... shut up and quit whining!! :lol: :LOL:

I had him install a 2nd master on my Metro head that when turned on also adds gain. It's killer. :rock:
