Oh I get it, you played some open low E string in between the chords. 80% of Yngwie's back catalog has more chugga chugga than that. You need to play those humbuckers and that Floyd more often. It will metal you back up in no time. And you know what? I KNOW that after the dive bomb you did at the end that your Floyd guitar is still in tune, heckling you to abuse it more. And your strats? Well your strats all went out of tune in sheer fear from hearing a whammy abused like that. The strats are cowering thinking that you are going to treat those little princesses the same way. Heck, my strat went out of tune 100 miles away from you and wet itself after hearing that dive bomb.

Oh yeah, the clip? Freaking Marshalls FTW.... always.

thanks guys, its 74' stock head with Tesla EL 34's. I am using an ol 72' marshall 4X12 cab as well with half original greenbacks and half the reissue g12m's.

Oh man thanks for taking the time to do this, I was starting to wonder just how much dirt could be had with an early 70s JMP, loved the grit and sizzle!

So this is a 4 hole JMP? What level of attenuation?

That was just nasty stuff and I will get killed for this but I liked that far better than any brown sound. This is what I am looking for.

wow, man my ears must be going elsewhere because i dont like it that much actually. yes it is a 4 hole input head, i'm going straight into the treble top left input with every knob on 10 except i had to lay off on the bass just a bit cause the love pedal is sorta bassy. A boss ge-7 sounds actually similar with the right eq'ing, but when playing single note stuff ( especially on the unwound strings) I rather have the love pedal or dod grey 250. thanks. its fricken loud though dude, im fortunate to have cool neighbors where i can pull this off.

your killing me right now! awesome response dude. It actually did feel damn good to play that guitar which by the way the neck is identical to the $30,000 dollar EVH replica out, no shit, I played it when it came out and i could not believe it, except I have speed bumps for frets...u have great ears my friend. however, ;) the strat tremolo has a certain musical nature about it that the floyd can't come close....yes the g string in particular would have gone sharp with out a doubt, but i've dialed in my strats to where u can pull this shit off, but there's technique behind hit... a little. Im gonna cruise to your shop some saturday afternoon and you can play one of my strats and let you do your thing, then we'll see..........big shot.

thanks man

Sounds very nice. How loud was it in the room?

I had the cabinet isolated in my closet with some blankets over it which made it a lot better, but it was still pretty thumping. defintely not bedroom volume by all means

May I ask how many and how thick blankets the sound travelled through here? I believe you have had quite earthquakes going on there...anyways, the tone sounds still sweet and somehow it remembered me much of Gary Moore's tone from 80's too. The only thing which bothers me in these cranked JMP/Plexi clips are that they always sound a bit "choked" or muddy with the low end. In the room people don't always notice that, perhaps because they are looking quick escape out from there.

Btw, just out of curiosity I tried to adjust one of my GM 80's settings closer to your tone and here is the result:

(Setup was: LP, TS9, DIY amp, resistive load, line out to soundcard and a cab sim & rev added later)

just a couple blankets only...everything is on 10 and the speakers are greenbacks, so there is gonna be some sizzle/mud in the mix.
