Marshall jvm 215c ohms

Hey!
I just bought my first combo. It's Marshall jvm 215c, one speaker combo. Speaker inside is 8ohms, but it was connected to 16ohm jack instead of 8. Does it supposed to be like this? Sorry for noob question.

No. Hook it up to 8.
