How do these amps sound with V30's? The only cab I have is a V30 412 and I am interested in this amp. Just curious if anyone uses this combination.
I would be playing everything from non break-up clean to heavy chug stuff. Also, I would be using Active and passive pickups.

Cheers in Advance

I've used my jvm410 with v30s with reasonable results, although not my speaker of choice for this amp.

Celestion or celestion styled speakers go with marshall tones hand in hand, there are of course variations of each but I've always favoured v30's with mesa's personally.

Check out YouTube for some comparison vids

Sounds better with Greenbacks or WGS ET65s, Green Berets, or Liberators. (IMHO). Also, if you can get your hands on a Marshall 425A or 425B cabinet, you'll be much happier.

I have a T75 loaded cab and a V30 cab. They both sound really great. After playing mine on ValveQueen's V30 loaded Splawn cabinet, I ordered a Carvin Legacy (V30) cab and am really happy with it.

I had green beret's up top and V30's on the bottom in a 4x12 and it was cool, but know i run all v30's it is tighter this way.

Mine sounded killer with V30's for recording, lots dont care for them but they are my go-to recording setup for heavier tones that I need to cut in a mix

Marshalls sounds great with their mids set below noon and running through V30's.

I was going to say, jason gets epic
Tones with v30s. The key is get them broken in
And have them be marshall branded ones
Imo

I run a JVM410H, a Triaxis/Marshall EL34 100w Power amp and a Peavey 6505+

I have a few Marshall cabinets, namely a 1960AV with G1275s and V30s in X formation, a bog standard 1960BV and a 2x12 with V30s in it. I also have a Mesa Recto cabinet and now an Orange 412 cabinet. I still prefer the JVM410H on the Mesa cabinet above all of them, it just sounds crisper and the low end is handled better. Conversely, I prefer the 6505+ on the Marshall cabinets.

The Orange 4x12 I've kept for the Triaxis (or Pod HD500) simply as the Marshall EL34 power amp sounds pretty good with it. It sounds great with the other cabs too, I just happened to have kept this combination.

That doesn't answer anything you asked, just my perspective on my own gear :)

I had one for a while, was fine with v30s, but for my ears worked better with greenbacks

in general i find marshalls for me seem to sound better through greenbacks, at least the ones i've tried all seemed to work better for me on greenbacks

you'll definitely find different opinions on this kinda stuff, it's a solid amp in any case, just way too much gain on the OD1 + 2 Orange/red modes imo, unmanageable without a noisegate

Not. Possible. Ever. :D

I'm running my JVM410HJS through a 2x12 recto cab with V30s. I think it sounds great. I have a Marshall 1960a with G1275T as well, and I prefer the V30s. However I love the YJM100 through the 1960a cab.
