Marshall Mod question

I am going to have my 1959SLP modded. Looking for a little direction from you, as to I ship it to.

I am looking for Slash tone - especially on his 2nd Snakepit album
Jake E. Lee's badlands tone. etc...
My options are:
Friedman - The clips of Kurtstuff amp are amazing
Bray - The clips aren't great, but I've played a couple and they sound good
Caswell - specs sound interesting

Let me know your opinions
 
you already got badlands tone as is add any od pedal you will have both without doing anything ;)
 
I'd go with Friedman if I had to have it modded, but I'd try it with an attenuator and od pedal 1st :thumbsup:
 
Mike Fortin does amazing things with Marshalls, im sure he could do whatever you wanted, not to mention his work is by far the cleanest i have ever seen!

Mike is really ready to become a force around the marshall camp, killer sounding amps and monster player as well.

definately some great "mod" guys out there to choose from.the friedman "Hairy Brown Eye" mod,from his clip,nailed the GNR tone,imo... :thumbsup:
 
I am deffinately leaning in the Friedman direction. I cant seem to get those clips out of my head.
But I am gonna e-mail Fortin first just to see what he has to offer.

Not many votes for the Bray or Caswell huh?
 
Pm tonmazz he has a caswell modded marshall jcm 800. I also had one and it doesn't run with cameron stuff thats for sure.

Bingo...
You're already there. Unless you just want to mod it for some reason, I would look into different boost/od pedal.
 
Out of the 3...I'd pick Caswell...because i had his mod on my JCM800 and it KILLED!
I am not a fan of Bray...tried 2 of his modded Marshall's locally and they were less than stellar.

Maybe look into a mod by Voodoo as well? I hear good things.

What kind of mods did you do. I have a dsl and am interested in getting it modded or modding it myself.
