I am trying to control the disease.. I just stumbled on this old pic and wanted to share because. well... old Marshalls are cool AF!

As Steve_K would have said, that’s a nice hedge of Marshalls you had.

Puts a whole new meaning to a hedge fund 😂

Sucks you had to offload them all. There’s a few I won’t let go of that I own.

That sucks. Silver lining is you had them to sell AND when things pick up again you get to go shopping for more Marshalls

It sucks but man enjoy the time with you kid now . But grew up so fast I miss those days .
But that was an impressive collection . Trying to not sell shit again myself .
What head did you keep ?

That was back in 2006. I kept a Jube, a plexi Major, the Fawn 2204, a 2203 and a 71 Small box 50 for years. Of those I ended with the Small box and the 2203 which I eventually let go about 10 years ago.

Things like this take time. Hope things turn around bro...
Thanks Exo, but this was 20 years ago.. real estate always is feats or famine.. nowadays with all the gig work, it is easy to putty the gaps between deals. All is good. Thanks again for thought and I have Marshalls again , but only one vintage one. a 77 2204.

No sympathy needed. All good. I stumbled on this old pic and thought I would share a blast from the past around the the time RT spawned out of the HCAF.

Hey guys. I think my post is misleading.. I may not have worded things the best. I mean I have a problem with buying Marshalls as in I am obsessed and just a bit compulsive.. I did end up selling all that stuff, as I suppose the reason for mentioning that is to clarify, this is not a look at my stuff post.. cause I dont have that anymore. but I have rinse washed and repeat to see degree a few times since.. although never to that degree. That was a once in a lfetime ridiculous buy.. I literally rented a UHaul and bought all of those plus others you can't see in one purchase.

I stumbled on this pic and thought is worth posting a flashback. Thanks for the nice words. I am fine and I have Marshalls and Bogners again. Just not those ones. and not nearly as many. The problem is under control now.. LOL

I'm sorry to hear about this man and all of us have had our ups and downs.

I have a great job and try to keep in mind that I could lose a job one day and be in a tough spot and have to sell guitars or amps.

No sorry needed but thanks. This is just a Flashback from 2006 and declaration of my obsession with Marshalls. All is well. Thanks again.

Post edited for clarifications. Just wanted to share an old pic I found because old Marshalls never get "old". It it reminded me of a time that was a whole lot of fun albeit a bit reckless at times..

A lot of us went through wreckless acquisition. Yours is more impressive than most
That was a once in a lifetime wall for me. GAS.. It is what we do. What fun would life be without it. Not just acquisition, but everything. Life is now, so better get on with doing what you love and want to do.

What sucks is that they would be so much more now.. and I barely came out ahead even when all was said and done over the course of some years. I sold the Plexi Major for 1500 and most of the run of the mill 2204,2203, and metal face 4 holers for about 1000.00. but then again 1000.00 was worth much more then than now but still...

Hahaha you'll never control it. You've owned more high quality and rare amps than most people will ever even see. I've personally benefitted from it over the years so thank you!

Hey at least its not crack or meth, right ???

Yeah. I had eight 100 W Marshalls in the studio in about 1995 that I spent a lot of time with, but ended up selling all of them by about 2001 when it seemed like prices were so high that I'd just buy them back when prices became more reasonable......not my best financial decision. Though, I only really regret selling my old 2203 that'd been my primary amp from 85-2000.

Am I the only one that does the math and realizes just how long ago that is now! Damn.

Time flies. Class of 84... We are vintage, so we don't need vintage gear. LOL.
