Marshall signature Randy Rhoads amp anyone tried one?

Yup.
Played in front of a FULL STACK at my local music store...
It ........was..........LOUD!!!

we did it stock then with a boost.
Not super over distortion but enough break up to play some Hard rock!!
It was so FN loud on 2 that I cant remember past that!
It wasnt my cup of tea.....but I guess they sell out really fast.
The store sold it within a week.

From what we played that day......they need to be CRANKED!!
Low volume didnt sound right.
But that was just my opinion.
Didnt break up enough.

Yeah....not much gain. It was crunchy at best. Real old school tone. Boston, Foghat, ZZtop, Kiss.......but nothing past that for me.
But it sounded good for what it did.

Yaaa that's what i was hearing not to much gain....Even in the RR mod side? Wonder how a tube screamer would sound in front of it...There is a clip on you-tube a guy does nails Randy's tone perfect and the amp sounds to have a lot of gain but other clips sound to lack that gain

Don't forget it's a Plexi for the most part so it isn't a meant to be a gain machine. The cascade mod is not going to be like we are spoiled with in these hot rodded beasts we play. If I got a Rhoads it would be to look at it and play Randy's tone but even he used an MXR Distortion in front.
