Not me. I am posting this because I think this guy got the basic tone of the VM better than my clips have. Sounds very rock n roll to me

I agree it is a very cool clip. Sounds like a great rock machine. Your clips are every bit as good as this. Your playing kills!

So much better sounding that your Orange Rockerverb and Rectifier videos. Nice work!

Les Paul + Vintage Modern = JOY!!

The VM is the best-sounding Marshall amp to come out in a long time, IMHO.

That was so fizzy sounding  I actually much prefer the clips you have done goosing it with a pedal.

good clip, that does capture the tone/vibe of the amp pretty well, i also prefer your clips yngzaklynch, kinda pushed me to get one if i'm perfectly honest =)

had mine for a few weeks now, keep finding different sweet spots with the preamp volumes + eq settings, cool sounding amp indeed however not quite my thing, will flip it soon

The VM can sound fizzy at lower volumes but with the powertubes working a little bit the fizzyness goes away and it sounds incredible.

Agreed, Jim, you spank this guy!! The only thing that you suck at is recording vids LOL!!!

agreed... While I dont think the VM sucks, I think that the JVM kills it.. I will say that when we met up at Paiges, The boosted VM sounded pretty good. What the hell were we boosting it with? a BB? I dont remember..

Kage

I dig the VM, but that didn't sound great to me, the amps suits your playing more.

Skills go a long way in making anything sound good...you just get more out of the amp :D

Kage at Paiges I was using a Keeley modded SD-1 but I have since switched to the BDD as it sounds warmer.

Really? I could have sworn that it was something like the BB or an M-audio pedal... I do remember that it sounded better than that Snake Skin Cameron that was there...

Kage maybe somebody threw a few different pedals infront. If it was my basic set up it would have been the Keeley.

As for the JVM vs the VM... the JVM did some cool stuff on the first 2 channels but channels 3 and 4 were useless to me. The VM has a crunchy quality that simply does it for me. Eventually I could see getting a fortin JVM from Ralph as it solves a few issues I have with the VM. I highly doubt I will ever sell my VM but there are 3 issues with it that I could do without. 1 the fx loop is very picky. 2 I sometimes miss having a clean channel I can switch to on the fly. 3 To get my sound I have to boost it which also adds noise. If the Fortin JVM sounds as nice as you and Ralphie have said it does this amp would solve my issues while keeping a hot Marshall tone. I also remember being fond of the JVM's onboard reverb.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I try to give this amp props because I love it and feel like it gets a bad rap at times.

Yup...we used the Keeley SD1 with Jim's VM at my house. It sounded great IMO
