Martin Kidd has left Cornford Amplification, and has introduced his newly designed Olympic "SilverBack" amplifier. I don't care what it costs - I must have this amp!

Video won't load?

"Just to make this clear - this is not a Cornford product, this is a new British amp brand launched by Martin Kidd.
We didn't name the brand here for a few reasons but if you look closely at the amp panel you can read it ;-)"

Got ya working man!
Sounds bad ass!

"...clutching this open shhhassie membrane thing..."

It has that Martin Kidd/Cornford tone in spades! It makes me wonder if Cornford will still be building MK series amplifiers?

Love that volume roll off response. A very cool sounding amp. I won't be able to afford it but I look forward to more YT shenanigans

I must admit, I like the tones in the video. but I'd really like to hear this amp opened up at stage volumes.

Wow!

I love how warm and fat and thick the pushed cleans, low, medium and medium high gain tones are on this- I don't play any kind of Metal- but this is one of the warmest high gain Amps I've heard judging from the Demo- beautiful, blooming, harmonic warmth etc.

Too bad - sounds like it will be expensive but maybe they'll come out with a Production Version non hand wired at some point for lower cost- and hopefully a Studio or Preamp version..........

This is basically an MK50H II with a preamp boost "torch" switch instead of the MK's variable boost control. It also has 2 channel reverb and a single master volume. Sort-of a Hurricane meets MK50H II maybe? He dirtied-up the clean channel just a tad, but the voicing sounds the same as the MK to me. Rob described a non-latcing mid-boost function that I will assume switches to a lower value slope resistor... 33k maybe? It shouldn't cost too much, since it is a PCB/hand-wired hybrid. It would take a lot less time to build compared to a fully hand-wired MK50H II, so production costs would be significantly reduced.

There's a new Kidd in town!

There is apparently some interest almost 10,000 views on that video already. Lead channel very reminiscant of my Earhart Cornford copycat.

"You can start with strawberries, then work your way up to those god-damn bananas!"

Titty Butter! That's a beast, great tonez and touch/volume control is awesome. I really like the 2 switching FX loops too.
