Marty Friedman to auction off his Megadeth guitars

He already off loaded some a few years ago, I know someone who owns his old silverburst Kelly and I also know someone who had his old reverse headstock explorer.

So those two are the really cool ones I would want... all that's left are his beat to hell black and trans black Kellys.

There maybe a Jackson Les Paul which would be really cool.

Wow, this is a really considerate thing of Marty to do. Best of luck to him for sure. I'd love to snag one of the Kellys if the funds were there... sigh.

I do not think he is thinking about fanboi collectors but the people who have supported him?

Beat to hell are the ones you want anyways, mojo with the smell of sweat.

That explorer was on Ebay so was the silverburst. I had one that was supposedly his back from the Rust in Peace era, it was a black 22 fret single humbucker Kelly that was made in 1989 or 1990. I also know a trans blue top that was his made it onto Ebay a few years ago, he used it at a guitar clinic.

Dont get me wrong I would love a beat to hell Marty owned Kelly but I would love one of the unique finishes or body shapes more.

Well I'll be damned I know someone that has one of his silverburst Kellys so they must have made two. :lol: :LOL:

Interesting. In the linked article above, he says he has never sold one of his guitars before:

"Pictures, descriptions and how to bid will all be up on my US website as well as my Japanese website within 2-3 days. I have NEVER sold ANY of my guitars before, this is the only way these guitars will leave my possession. I urge you to please spread the word and most of all BID HIGH. I'm trying to score a Slash guitar when he does his auction,he has 3 ESP's,i just want one and i'm willing to go somewhat high, :rock: But i'd love to have a Jackson.

He's selling his carvin he had since he was a teenager, that's pretty crazy.
