Demoed with the Axe FX 2 and in a slave setup with the Suhr SL68......

Sorry to the guys that had asked me about doing some clips with a different rack preamp, I just didn't have time. But these amps sound killer! Like most that have tried them, I'm pretty knocked out by them. Warm and open, really natural feeling. And light! Crazy how light they are.

I tried to show how they sound with a range of models in the axe FX, for different kinds of players.

And I got fairly in depth in the slaving section, for those that aren't familiar with slaving an amp.

Rock on!

Hi Pete!
Great demo of the poweramps!

How do you think these will fit with non-modeling tube preamps like Triaxis, JMP-1, etc?

I need a good poweramp that is not cold or muffled for my rack full of 90's preamps and effects.

I would also like to know how the Matrix amps sound with tube preamps and guitar cabinets.
thanks

Thanks for these Pete. Being SS through and through, I'm surprised there's any variation to their inherent tone.

I'm eyeballing one of these to run the Axe-II through. Seems to be the way things are going rather than the 2/90/2. Although I love my 2/90/2 for other preamps

Great post - as always - thanks

I agree. If you are going digital and trying to scale down why add the weight of a tube power amp? Matrix really seems to be a good match with the Fractal.
