Matrix GT800FX: Good Power amp for a loaded head? Also W/D

Matrix GT800FX: Good Power amp for a loaded head? Also W/D

I was wondering if this would be a good alternative to a tube amp when using as a power source for a loaded head?

I plan on using it as a W/D/W set up...

But In rare occasions where volume is a "big" deal.... Could it work in a W/D Set up and having the head loaded into a Plamer PDI-03?
I used to use a VHT 2:90 or 2150 or the loaded gear...
 
Dave Friedman and I A/B'ed it against an H&H V800 last week using a Metro Friedman head as the source. We both liked it better than the V800. Plenty of power and balls and sounded fantastic!!! Looks like there are going to be some big rigs that are going to become surprisingly lighter :)
