Hi guys.... i wonder how many guys here still like the original Maxon OD808 as their boost to tighten up and add in more colors..

I did owned one but thats so many years back and i was still not mature about tone....

Now i am turning back for one as i wonder how many of you guys know about this:

https://godlyke.com/collections/maxon-r ... rive-od808

Just wonder if this be a good buy if your looking for a classic boost pedal? I catch few clips over on youtube with Jason doing an Maxon OD808 with Marshall 2205 showdown and its totally crazy...

I have no idea if this anniversary be in anycase interest many of you guys here to boost and tighten up on your tone as a basic tool as it has tweaked for more clarity than the usual Maxon OD808...

Yet i have no idea if the Maxon OD808 deluxe be better to go then this ?

Lol yeah man just with a signature and a T shirt.... but for non first 0-40 units its retail at 199... thats still with the Maxon anniversary tweak... i wonder if the tweak on this Maxon OD808 would surpass the OD808deluxe ?

I hear many good about OD808deluxe for metal application... am just looking for a mid cut, treble boost with slight gain and bass and mids compensation....

Maxon OD808's are ridiculously overpriced even the normal ones. FFS you can get a timmy and a ibanez ts9 both used for the price of a new maxon that is not a special model.

Not quite the same, but have a Maxon OD-9 that will need to be pried from my cold dead hands.

You’d be better of getting some use out of the pedal.

Nurse, have you checked on old man Pettigrew in room 12?
Yes, Doctor. He is still hanging onto that little green box for dear life.
Hasn’t used the ablutions for a week now.

Who buys Maxon 808's new?

Btw, the Maxon 808 is a pedal I will always own. Mandatory pedal for me.

I don't either buy new. Maybe I had a bad point.

I bought one as my first OD well over a decade ago, and I just thought the Maxon was THE pedal to get. I kept it for a long time and acquired another OD's came along and they filled my needs and the Maxon got sold off. Don't get me wrong they sound good. I just like other comparablly priced pedals fit my needs better.

Just my opinion.
