Please opine if you have one.....hype in the 7/8 string uber-metal zone or is it Polski kielbasa? They seem to be getting a lot of attention lately, but not so much here. The family has been making guitars and basses for 30 years. Looks like some decent set ups for the djentlemen crowd.

Neck, action, body, playability, intonation, comfort?

Price point seems to be good for a handmade guitar and the multi-ply necks/bodies. But, that can also be a red flag.

Steve

I have 2 and they are amazing guitars . I have a 6 string regius and a 7 string regius both with maple necks and aftermaths , the 7 is mahog , and the 6 is swamp ash . They are the best guitars I have ever played , I have owned many private stock prs and other guitars these are def up to par they scream quality .

My brother-in-law just got his 7 string and that thing is a work of damn art. Just exquisite.

Good thing they make great guitars, because they really blew it with that whole 2012 end of the world BS.

I must have missed all that. I was concentrating on the Mayan's.

One of the best guitar I have ever played... bar none hands down... very few guitars that the action can be set so low yet there is NO fret buzz and notes ring out perfectly... not a single negative thing to say about them... their wait times are starting to get pretty ridiculous now though, but that's expected...

Any opinions on the string through vs. tailpiece and on the Regius NTB vs. the Setius bolt-on?

How ever you spell it man. All I know is those assholes had me build a fallout shelter in my basement and spend a small fortune on can goods and jugs of water. Screw them and their fancy guitars.

If you are going to go with a model go with the Regius, no question... although I've also heard good things about the Setius... never played one myself though so I can't comment on it... here was mine when I owned it... one of the very few guitars I wish I would have never let go of...

That craftsman ship and playability is second to none really... guitar sits perfectly on your body... I'm no fanboy as I didn't own it long and haven't played another but I really can't say enough good about them...

One thing to note is the Regius line have completely flat tops... no arch or anything like that, while the Setius has a slight carve to it I believe...

after playing a setius sevenstring at musikmesse last year, i ordered one immediately. after i got it, my bandmate got one too. yep, they're that good. the setius is the best priced 7-string, imo. at least here in europe.

i've owned over 20 guitars including PRS, gibson, fender, musicman and lots of high end ibanez's. both setius 7-strings are hands down among the nicest 7-strings i've played.
