I got an email from the MBritt site last night saying that pack number three is available. Included in the list is that Billy Blades Firebolt!

I hate to admit but I am intrigued to hear the profile. Wouldn't it be something if it sounded amazing and put Billy blades on the map! So many people are swinging from the sack of the Ambritt I totally see it as being possible.

Michael Wagner already has a pack with four Blades Firebolt profiles. Maybe MBritt's profiles will be better...

I wonder how authentic it is, like will my Kemper explode into flames

I think I'm more surprised that Blades is on any commercial profilers radar. Good for Billy I will say! Perhaps this will take him into the realm of a somewhat legitimized builder? He did a good job shooting himself in the foot and a lot of circles where he might've been able to sell some amps. Maybe things have turned around. I was just surprised to see his name on that list. Michael is known for profiling some really really well-built, high-end amps.

Do you think he was able to capture the tone of the cup holder?

I shouldn't be catty I suppose. I'd certainly buy the Britt pack if if had some Henning up in there!

Might be a good idea for me to just send him an amp.

If Steve wants more cowbell, I think we should give it to him?

I bought the #3 profile pack last night.. The Blades profiles are actually pretty nice.

^ do you have all 3 packs? Curious as to which one is the one to get if you have none

I do have all three.. Probably pack 2 or 3. Pack three's profiles are a bit brighter.. BUT- Pack two has the Diezel, the PT100..

The mid gain, edge of breakup tones in all the packs are really nice..

I have Pack #2. Good stuff I the IF you tweak the profiles. Some VERY heavily. The PT100 is pure mud with my guitars in its own. Most are overly dark but he profiles with P90's I think. Maybe that's why.

Then why are these Britt profiles so popular?

Not sure if this is a serious question or if you're busting my chops.

Lots of guys love them. Most of them are mad at me for sharing my experience on TGP. Once you dial them in they can sound quite good. I'll make a before/after clip of some to show.

It's all up to the end user. I find they have taken more tweaking than most commercial profiles I have purchased.
