So I just got a Suhr Modern Satin in a trade deal and am pretty set on putting in the Motor City Nasty Nasty bridge and Hothead neck that I just bought, but I'm still not sure what single coil I want in the middle position? I was thinking to order a MCP single coil of some sort, but I've never heard anything about them of forums, so I was wondering if any of you guys have any input on them. I may also consider a single coil by Wolfetone or Ian Anderson.

have you played a satin modern? I had one and im not sure you can do much better than the stock pickups. They sounded perfect in the guitar.

They do sound quite good, but the Wolfetone and Detroiter in my other guitars are still better and I'm really curious to see how this set of MCP Nasty Nasty and Hothead will compare. Especially the Marshallhead neck pickup in my framus. That thing smokes any other neck pickup I've tried so far!

I didn't even know Motor City Pickups made Single Coils until this thread. Never seen anything about them either. I would contact them and see what they recommend.

The only Motor City single coils I've tried are the Woodwards, and they are awesome! Lots of chime and jangle!!

I have them in my Luxxtone they sound great, except I can't make them sound as great as Phil does

Which ones do you have? It seems like he makes an A2 version (Funk), A3 (Woodward) and A5 (Motor). I wonder what other differences they have besides just magnets

I could never get alone with Suhr pickups, the quality and playability is superb, but sound was always off.
To your question, I love the noiseless in my Fender Deluxe, but I think S1 system has something to do with it :-)

Fender CS '69 or fat 50's for true SC's or Dimarzio VV for noiseless. No need to look elsewhere...

I own some MCP humbuckers, but no experience with single coils. I honestly think that Bare Knuckle makes the best single coils I have ever heard. My Irish Tour set is stone cold badass.
