Tried one of my old charvels with an emg in it the other day thru the jcm800 and it sounded awesome compared to the jb in my sg... :(
I was thinking by the description that the mcp solution might be a good, or better substitute for that guitar. Anyone use these? Real curious about the solution or nuke.....?

Used a Solution for a while. Cool pickup, but needed to be set too high to get the tone that I wanted. Slight pickup height adjustments made huge changes to tone and feel. Once I got it to where it sounded like I wanted, I was hitting the strings because of my heavy right hand. Thinking about trying another one soon, though.

Tried a Nuke and did not dig it much.

I have one in a Les Paul,i like it,lot of output, sounded great when chugging, and it's super tight being passive.
I haven't tried the nuke, when i talked to Wade,he suggested the Afwayu for what i was doing,i was looking for
a tight mid crunch sound.

What was up with the nuke? Was thinking warpig, but the nuke was similar output, and cheaper/ easier to get... the description of the solution was pretty cool, being passive with the output of an active...

Hey Steve Ive got an afwayu in my SG now. If you make it to Augusta for the ampfest, you can give it a whirl through the 800. I'm really digging it!
