A little back story. I worked with a guy named Del Ventura in 2016 thru 2018. Great dude, good player. He passed away in 2021. Yesterday I see a marketplace ad for a guitar and an amp. It was one of his, contacted seller, after telling seller the story's, I got it for barely anything. Definitely would need some work. Wondering if I should just retire it in memory of him, or put some effort in it to make it rock again. I still have one of his cds.

Of course you should! I'd polish up the guitar, thr CD, fine some old clippings from mags, etc and make some type of tribute to him. Pretty cool!

My first guitar was a black Memphis les Paul custom copy… I loved it. I had no idea it was plywood tho! Lol
