Menatone VOS Pedal coming this week.

I sold some junk on the bay and after some reviewing of different pedals I settled on the VOS. Anybody ever try one? I should have mine by the end of this week. $299 shipped. I emailed back and forth with Fargen and he seemed like a descent guy. The clips were right where I want to be. He has one with a Strat and one with a Gibson. The box gives you three levels of overdrive with just the footswitches. I will follow up with actual after use remarks. Can't do clips don't have the gear.

Got the pedal 30 minutes ago and headed straight for the practice room. Nice job getting a multiple varity of sounds. The two foot switches will dial in overdrive, boost and a ultra boost if both are on at the same time. All kinds of tone controls and shaping stuff. If you can't get it with this one go bury your stuff in the backyard and takeup piano or something without amps. I only messed with it for a few minutes and already have a big smile on my face and can tell this is a great fit for my rig. My old 59 is singing with this pedal no doubt.
Its a keeper very transparent if you want it to be but can get real thick by adjusting the gain controls. Nice job you guys at Menatone and Fargen rock. I just now tried the Gibson Les Paul Jr with this pedal. I blame Menatone and Fargen if I lose my job from staying home to play my Gibson. Man oh man does it sound great with the Jr. It's not cheap at $299 but well worth it.

This is a follow up post on the VOS after messing with it for a week. This is the best overdrive pedal I have ever played through and makes my little 20 watt amp sound like its got 100 watts and four speakers. It really makes all of my guitars sound great and dials in quickly from the Fender type single coil to the more robust Gibson type guitars. My fist Menatone pedal and I am impressed to the max. I might even get another one to even out the board. Currently my overdrives are HBE Power Screamer, BB Preamp, VOS, and Keeley modified Sparkle Drive. If I kick the VOS with the Sparkle Drive it gives me a great boost for solos without losing the guitar in the overdrive. As I switch from pickups on my Strat the clarity is still there and yet I now have a thick killer tone which is very sensitive to the volume control. I am still smiling on this purchase and got serial number 27. These are kinda expensive but well worth the investment IMHO. Still have not done a live set yet so that will determine just how versitile the pedal is. Will post after playing out this Sunday.

After playing out this Sunday I have to say the VOS is still got the smile on my face. Very rich and for my style which leans to the blues vibe its perfect. Menatone/Fargen rocks.
