Due to size issues, I might buy a Mesa 1x12 widebody with black shadows to use with a Diezel Einstein 50W head.

Do you think this cab can work out with such a powerful amp as the Diezel? Can it handle the bass response decently well?
Anybody have expiriences with these cabs?

Thanks!

I went and checked one out to use as a kind of 1x12 "monitor" for live use. I didn't like it very much. If you play heavier music and are worried about bass response, you might want to check out the Mesa "Thiele" closed back cab. It's closed back, and front ported, and can handle bass frequencies much better than the Widebody's semi closed back. With it's 90 watt speaker, it will have no problem handling the 50w Einstein. Also, it is more compact.

I have a 3/4 back widebody Mesa/Boogie 1x12 with and C90...its a great cab. I use it with a Widebody DC5 como and it sounds huge. I like the oversize and ported back.

here's a couple pics from back when I bought it

I have the 1x12 open back and the 1x12 Theile.

If I could only bring one I'd bring the Theile.

That said... I wouldn't just bring one as I'm not a big fan of the sound a single speaker provides.
