ok so i wondering if anyone can tell me the ohm age or ohms of my mesa boogie half back cab theres celestion 90s in the top and electro voice 150s in the bottom i just bought a new head that can run at 4,8, and 16 ohms and i seem not to be getting the low end i want any suggestions thx alot

get a multimeter and plug the speaker cable in and read what it says...probably 8 ohm though

What are the ohms of the speakers. If they are both 16ohms..then it is probably 8ohms.

If it is one of those vintage Mesa vertical 2x12 halfbacks with the metal grille, a lot of them stock were 4 ohm cabs. I've got one myself with the C-90 on top and EVM 12L on the bottom.....both of which are 8 ohm speakers. If this is what you have, it's probably a 4 ohm cab.

The 4x12 used to be 8, and the 2x12 4 ohms.

If all the speakers are 8 ohms, the cab is probably 8, but NOBODY here can tell you 100%, unless we get to measure it.

The 150 watters were Eminence built. MS-120, right? Great speakers.

ok man ill get the meter out the bottom speakers are evm 12l they pound

200 watts a piece then :) They are lovely

ya man i love them i just dont get alot of low end for some reason ?

I have 3 of them. They are all 8 Ohms from the factory.
The 1/2 MC90 1/2 EVM's were ALL 8 Ohm cabinets.

Cant believe you went there, I thought about it,,,,  That cab should have tons of low end though, so it stands to reason.

Try connecting a speaker cable to the input, and touch one of the poles of a 9-volt battery to the shaft and the other one to the tip of the cable.

All the speakers should move the same way when you do this. If three go out, and the last one in, swap the cables on that speaker.

I have a rebuilt Marshall combo now acting as a 1x12" with an EVM, and that cab has a lot of low end. I used to have a Mesa Thiele, and it could rival a "not-so-good" 4x12 in terms of low end punch.
