I did manage to do 1 Mark V clip while i had the amp. It's one of my favorite Boston songs, i think i missed a few of the harmonies but, oh well. V30 speaker was on the 57.

Maybe the filter is clogged from that super clean air in NJ and from hair glue from the blow out dudes


My Yukon has 78,000 with zero problems even though my wife tries to break it daily I did dig Dave's Honda truck, pretty cool rig and liked that sliding cover over the bed.

OK, I placed an order for a Mark V based on your reviews, clips and recommendations. Now youve already gotten rid of it? Good thing I changed my mind a while ago and canceled the order. What amp are you looking at now? A Fortin I assume?

That sounded great. I tried a MkV locally to see how it stood up to my C+. Nice amp but doesn't have quite the tone or the feel mostly.
But I can't see that modded Marshall standing up to that tone. I'd grab a Mk III or a IIc and get a C+ upgrade. Don't care for the Mk IV though. Too smooth or something and it doesn't cut through as well. YMMV

I liked it at first because the channel 2 crunch mode is better than R2 of the Mark IV. But edge mode completely sucks and IMHO so does the Mark I mode. Some people say it sounds like a blanket is thrown over the speaker. I think it's more like a dumptruck backs up and unloaded a ton a mud on the cab.

And i actually think the Mark IV has a better lead channel. When it comes down to it, i think the only Boogies i ever really liked were the IIC+'s and a couple of III's. The III's though can sound so nasty and raw, sometimes i like that though.

Yeah, Boogie claims the V has the same exact circuitry as the IIC+. But they claim a lot of bullshit, the Mark V manual is full of a lot of marketing nonsense.
