I'd like one of the new versions as well, might be redundant with the Triple Recto, tones are similar to that usual Recto tone from what I hear. However, the versatility of EL34 and 6L6 in the same amp is cool.

I'd be interested in your findings...

I want to know everything as well. So many say it's the same tones as the regular dual rec + el 34's and so many say it's different in a certain way.

For me it's either a used dual rec or a new road King. Idk if I would want to get one used

I heard that the series one had problems with the power tube linking. Cant remember exactly what it was though.

I am also in the market for one of these, as I have the RoadKing 4x12 cab and this cab sounds fantastic. Interesting design on the cab, it is 2 2x12 cabs in one. One side loaded with 90 watt black shadows and semi-open. The other side vintage 30's and closed. You can run out of your 8 ohm jacks of your amp to each side separately, or run one four Ohn load that will power all 4 speakers. Found a white one at my local Sam ash that was dirty as hell. Got it for 500$. Took a magic eraser to it and it now looks close to new. Sounds phenomenal with the Mark 2c+ Coliseum I have. Want to try the RoadKing head with it bad.

I preferred the 100 watts of the dual recs. I couldn't get the 120 to sound as good. That said it was a V1, but don't believe there are any tonal differences between the two.

They sound best turned up a bit and boosted with a Tube Screamer. The Brit mode is ok but you're better off having it than not. I know most of Ola's videos have a common tone and production to me but his Road King demo sounds downright brewtal.
