I've decided to sell my Stiletto. Comes with roadcase, footswitch, manual, etc... Amp is in excellent, pretty much mint condition. No issues. Will ship INCONUS only. $1500 shipped.

fuck dude, i'm gassing too. What are you going to get? what's your biggest issue with it to drive the decision to sell?

"Hello, my name is Jim. I'm a 'ampaholic'".

Hi Jim.

Dude, go Egnater modular. You could have a Mod 50 head with every possible Eggie and Randall module for what you've lost in amps. Either that or get an Axe-FX. You will never be happy with one tone.

It's a very nice amp. No issues.

by issue, i meant, what didn't you like about it or what feature or characteristic does it lack?

thanks

Frankly, I'm not surprised. The Stiletto Trident and Ace combo I had were not brutal enough for me and I suspect not enough for him, since he has an aggressive playing style.

I remember a/b-ing the Ace into a 4-12 cab and my Diezel Einstein into another 4-12 at the time I had them and the Einstein crushed the Mesa for low end and saturated gain. I traded off the Ace combo to Kurtstuff after that. He's not a Mesa guy either, so who knows where it is now.

I'm guessing the next amp for him: Nitro or VHT Sig X....

I knew that amp wouldn't last  ;) Great amp but obviously not for you

I'd say go Nitro....I think the last Splawn he owned had bad tubes or wasn't biased right

Brother Bill I appreciate you efforts. By selling this amp I'm left with some gear purchasing options that appeal to me. I have a little money coming my way in August. This IS one of the better amps I've owned but I'm not that attached to it and have decided to move it. The road case that comes with it it pretty nice. The amp looks, sounds and functions superbly.

I know i sound like a broken record but get a Mark III red or Blue stripe for $700-$800. Then get a used DSL. The III sounds soo good at the low volumes so you won't have to crank it to sound great. And it got all the feel and gain for shredding leads. The only amp that comes close for those low volumes is a Herbert, and do really want to spend $3500. The 6L6's tubes just work better when you don't want to crank the amp.

And when you want a Marshall tone you should be able to score a DSL 50 watter for a decent price.

Just checked out some of your clips on the Tube. I like the unboosted one BTW
What cab are you playing through?

I have two heads I might be willing to trade for it. If you think you might be interested email me @ BDuncan59@msn.com.

Thanks. Oh, and good playing

Bill

I use a Marshall VM 425A with greenbacks. Thanks for listening. e-mail sent.
