Mesa JP-2C clip - Nash Tele - not country

Sounds awesome! So much bite and grind to that amp.

(Does not help my GAS for one!!) :doh:

thanks man...I am usually anti-presence knob - so on most amps that have a presence knob I tend to stay between 9:00 and 11:00, however this amp likes it above 1:00 or higher; starts to cut and get meaner above 1:00.
 
Damn, thing sounds great brother. Is your Nash single coil on the bridge PU? If so, I'm shocked at the tone your getting from it.
 
it's a 2 HB model, the T2HB I think it's called. It has a Dimarzio Air Norton in the bridge and a Bluesbucker in the neck. GOt it new from Matt's Music a little bit ago, that's how it came brand new - I thought all Nash guitars had Lollars but apparently DiMarzio are also available.

Beautiful axe brother. I too have been there bling about a Nash. And I do favor their relic jobs. You've got me gassin big time man. Matts seems to always have a good selection.

yeah they do, Jay is great to deal with too - he's a super nice guy. I've been buying from them for probably 3-4 years now and they always treat me well.
 
Sounds great ! The JP2C could have easily been a Hetfield sig model. Classic Metallica is found in spades in this amp. Glad I got one !
 
My settings per channel are similar for 2&3. Gain at 2:00-3:00, bass at 3:00, middle at 10:00, treble at 1:00, presence at 2:00 and volume at 10:00. Eq set to the Petrucci V. If you look up his settings in the latest video on Mesa Boogie YouTube page.

Thanks, I just got mine recently from forum member JER that was local to me. Went on Vacation right after getting it, just starting to mess around with settings. Sounds really good and not like any of the modded Marshall types of amps I have now.
 
I just picked up a JP-2C yesterday. It's a killer, killer amp. I have plenty of high end heads (including a Wizard MC II) but this one just blew me away. Amazing cleans and the overdrive just has that mean, aggressive tone with perfect mids. I grew up on mid-to-early Metallica so maybe that's why I like it so much. And it's way more versatile than I ever expected it to be.

Surprises me to see so many of the JP's up for sale. I wonder if guys just don't take the time to dial them in...
 
they're different - tones are different, voicing is different, feel different. they're both 100w though :D
