Seems like they’re all around 2k! Been years since I looked at them...have they really gone up that much?
I think a big reason they are on fire right now is because there are so many good clips of them on youtube recently, especially the Mark IV's.i got mine from mesa hollywood with a roadcase, just teched by them, for 899 used. I could easily double my money on that one. i sold my last mark IV (a version, hardwood short head) for 1700 like 10 years ago, and thought i banked, but yeah, you could probably get close to 2k for a standard mark IV these days. boogie marks on are fire right now.
a friend of mine said the exact same thing to me the other day about mark III's. 12-15 years ago, you had to buy it and resell it, none of those clips/shoot outs existed. Now you got tons of clips, plus the general opinion of anyone (who is capable of figuring out how to set them) on message boards, is that they're excellent amps...which they are.I think a big reason they are on fire right now is because there are so many good clips of them on youtube recently, especially the Mark IV's.
Agreed. I think they may have been flying under the radar a bit years ago, and criminally undervalued. Now with all of the quality clips, Mesa Facebook groups, and deserved hype, they’re selling for much closer to their true value. There is no sane reason why an old Mark III or IV shouldn’t sell for the same amount as a Marshall from the same era. The Mesa is actually a much more beastly and versatile amp if you know how to dial them in.a friend of mine said the exact same thing to me the other day about mark III's. 12-15 years ago, you had to buy it and resell it, none of those clips/shoot outs existed. Nah they are only going up. Just like the 5150's. Those days of good prices are gone.I don't think old Marks are going to be going down in prices anymore.
So many people are still swearing by them over 30 years later.
If it says Made in the USA on it, it's not going down. Buy USA everything now. Look at cheap Peavey USA Predators were going for, now they are jacked up. I predict Heritage guitars are about to skyrocket, made in USA Carvins will down the road not too far. It's not just us gear wierdos that are going to want this stuff. The whole world will. Snatch up all the Silverface amps you can find! LAST ONE TO THE LIFE RAFT IS A DEAD MAN!!!!!!I don't think old Marks are going to be going down in prices anymore.

ITS MADE IN MISSISSIPPI...LET US ON!!!!
