So... how thick is the plywood on Mesa Recto cabs? Specifically, the 4x12.

I've read and heard people say it's 18mm like Orange. Yet, I've also read and heard it's 15mm, like Marshall, just denser higher quality plywood.

So which is it? Could someone please measure their cab for me? Thank you.

Its 3/4 inch birch from what I remember. Dunno the mm.

That's 18.

Are you totally sure, though? Could you measure your cab if you have it at hand, please? You should be able to tell from the backside that surrounds the back panel without having to take the cab apart.

Unfortunately I dont have one anymore. I have mark series cabs now but theres no guarantee they are the same. FWIW I'm pretty sure they are also just 3/4 inch 7 ply birch.

Sorry forgot to measure last night. Will try to remember today.

Overall around front edges it's 30mm, so I'd assume 15mm ply - hard to confirm. Could be 3/4" though, can't get to the back of the cab easily!
