i had 295, coliseum 300, 50/50, 2:100 and 2:90 from mesa this is my favorite by far, its most transparent and punchy

its a PS Amplification PS6 100w head, hand made in my country Chile, the land of Jose Arredondo

honestly its one of the best amps money can buy if you like the soldano/5150/rectifier stuff, it have a smarter design than any of those, here you have the PS5

no man, the strat400 its not in the list of the boogies i had but i guess is increidible since Hetfield used those, but honestly im not interested cuz i dont like 4u rack poweramps

The 400 is only 3u if my memory serves me well.

Strategy 400 is where it's at. That's the one all the major artist used and they had access to ALL the power amps Mesa provided at that time. Not trying to knock the 500 but there is a reason the 400 was used by audiophiles for actual home stereo systems. In fact it was such a good power amp the Strategy 400 was turned into a stereo power amp for Audiophiles called the Mesa Baron. This is why I never paid no mind to the 395, 500 or whatever in between. I think the legacy of the 400 speaks for itself.

it can be, but i love what the 6550 tubes do to the tone(400 cant run those) and having owned all those other boogie poweramps(not mention some VHT, Marshall, Randall and ENGL) and pick this one is more than enough

I used to slave my SRG C+ to an 87 Strategy 400. What a wall of sonic destruction. Awesome amp.

I have a Strat500 and owned the 395 among others. I think both these power amps sound amazing! The deep option makes these amps sound massive.
