Anyone here like them.?
So my tubes definitely went out last night (high pitched screeming sound intermittant and piss tone) and i need a quick fix by tomorrow.
All guitar center has is groove tubes and Mesa's.
Anyone have any experience with them compared to lets say Ruby?

I had MKV and Single Rec's with stock tubes for a little while. Put SED =C= 6L6's in the MKV and tried NOS Tesla and JJ EL34's in the Single Rec. Also ran Sovtek 6L6's in the Rectifier. Those were not noticably different than the stock Mesa 6L6. Got rid of the Mesa preamp tubes as well. The MKV had a bad preamp tube in 3 weeks after getting home from the store new..... The SED power and Tung Sol Reissues pre's are in the MKV are a nice set. A little more of a high gain shift. The Tweed mode picked up a straight up Black Sabbath old school rock tone. JJ EL's were good. The Tesla EL's were a big crunchier for the EL34 tone.

Aren't they just a re-brand of another tube at a higher cost?

I like Mesa tubes. They are just rebranded Chinese (I think), but they cherry pick them to be in tolerance. I have been using them for years and never, ever had a bad one.

i put mesas in my diezel , my engl whatever....it always gives more roaring tightnes to my ear...i swear by them when others dont
