I use a Mesa vertical 212 with my Einstein it is exact width as the head and they look like they are made for each other I have a celestion G12h30 in the top and a TT Hempcone in the bottom and it sounds great with the Einstein. I would love to see Diezel make a vertical 212 with the same speaker combination I mentioned as I kmow they build the best cabs and this particular setup would be a great combo with the Einstein. I really wish Peter would at least take a look at this design and speaker combination with the Einstein it is the perfect cab for the Einstein for gigging musicians as I am. Funny thing is this cab comes stock with V30s I bought it to go with a Mark V because it also matched up size wise and made a great looking rig but I didnt like the sound at all so I fell in love with Einstein played around with speaker combinationd and cabs and this one is the perfect match and that includes a Diezel 412 w v30 and hemps.

i have a mesa vertical too and im wondering why other cab makers dont seem to be too interested in the vertical design

Because the amount of heads that actually look right on top of them doesn't justify making them, the only reason Mesa makes them is because of the Mark series... same with any other manufacturer... every company that makes the vertical 2x12's has an amp they make that would look prportionate on top of it... there simply isn't enough demand for companies to make vertical 2x12's

Give that man a cigar !!! Great explanation and very accurate.

Diezel makes a head that looks perfect on a vertical 212. Of course I have taken the Mesa off the front of the cab so it matches better.

Can you post pictures? I can only imagine it looking kind of strange. A vertical 212

I have diy made vertical 2x12 by the elmwood specs for my modena head... it is great... better then bogner oversized that i had before

Skrin, dont have time to post a picture right now but a vertical 212 looks exactly like a regular 412 slant cab only it is only 23 inches wide instead of 30 inches wide. You can also get on Mesa website and see one.

Yes a Schmidt would also work with a vertical 212 is it the same width as an Einstein? If so 2 of the 4 models Diezel makes work nicely with a vertical 212. I would buy one if they were to add it to the line-up.

this is how it used to look (and sound)

Sweet, I love the white, nice guitars to my PRS singlecut trem artist is also whale blue, thats a great looking silverburst LP custom also. You have good taste in guitars my friend. I thought about ordering a white shell for my Einstein I called and checked on it when Diezel USA was in existance and it was gonna cost me $350 which was a little more than I wanted to put into it at the time. By the way what speakers do you have in your Mills cab, I have heard a lot of good things about Mills.

im running an x pattern of gk100's and v30s.. really loving the cab seems to have just the perfect balance of highs and tight low end with the speakers

I know this is an old thread however now with the new Diezel D-Mon amp coming out I was just thinking this!

Diezel now have 3 amps which is half thier arsenal of amps that would suit a 2x12 vertical. The Einstein the Schmidt and now the D-mon so I feel it is pretty necessary now more than ever!

Especially when my music room is cramped for space so utilizing the vertical space and saving the Horiztonal space is very important for me as I can only fit 6 cabs in their and then barely room for my guitars etc :( Not to mention how ugly they are when there is so much spare cab space on either side of the head :(

I am going to be getting a Diezel D-Mon for sure I think it will be there best yet! And rather then using the ENGL or the Mesa 2x12 vertical like i use to with my Einstein, I would love to have a matching 2x12 slanted Diezel Vertical cab to compliment it. I would use a K100 in the bottom and a celestion Vintage Neo in the top (to keep it light and portable).

This would make for the best little rig of all time and still at a ground rumbling 100 watts of power \m/ Plus still suits the Einstein and Schmidt as previously mentioned...
