I think any genre of music will all basically sound the same if it's not really what you're into.

IMO, all country sounds the same, but I'm sure someone who's into country knows what to listen for to appreciate it.

Still, let's be honest. Don't you question why that person likes country?

I might question why someone likes polka, but country doesn't really bother me.

thx for all your posts guys lol
I was looking for some new metal bands to listen too.

Saying they all sound the same is lame...its normal if you dont like it, it all sounds bad to you...I can say 80's music all sound the same too ...they all sound 80's with the catchy punchy power cord played on that bright cranked marshall stack. Guys dressed with girly spendex pants and girly makeup, siging about love with a very high pitched voice and trowing those same legato pentatonic wank everywhere.
It all sound the same to me...it all sound the same in the way that it dosent sound like what i like.

And by the way...i like Iron Maiden and Ozzy as much as i like Opeth and Nevermore and pretty much all metal genre.

Today was the first time in a long time I listened to Alice in Chains Dirt on a good stereo system all the way through.

All I can say after listening to that album is you kids should be ashamed of yourselves and what you have done with a decent genre of music, we gave you the tools and all you did is pooped on them.

Haha exactly what Beethoven, Vivaldi and Mozart must think about modern music  Beethoven 9th symphony is one of the most epic metal composition. The mood, the anger , heavy and violent yet musical. METAL

i tell you man im a huge fan of baroque period classical music/organ compositions. anything from JS bach, JC bach, beethoven, mozart, vivaldi, etc.

my favorite organist of today's erra is a german named Hans Andre Stamm - his talent and interpretations are awsome

my opinion of what's wrong with metal today is that it doesn't reach back far enough into metal's roots.
it sounds to me like most of it comes out influenced by something that was just a few years ago, and that's that.
it doesn't really pull from the gut wrenching sittin on the shitter ballsi-ness that was peace sells, or kill em all.
just my opinion. lol
i have yet to hear something since like 2002 that made me want to even think about clinching my butthole lol

All through school we joked that Beethovan was the first black metal musician and that he'd be great addition on keyboards.
