Some new MGL100 amp demos done in my shop last Friday with a local friend-customer, Rob Z. We used my '69 straight front basketweave cab w/ 25w Greenbacks. There's a touch of reverb on a few and the others are dry. Straight ahead out of the amp, no pedals, processing or EQ. Gain was at 6 1/2, master only a little over 2. The first "Low Tuned Heavy" demo is my Gibson SG Std. w/ a Gibson 498T bridge pickup, tuned down a whole step w/ 10-46 strings. Second demo is my '52-'59 Les Paul conversion w/ real PAF's, tuned down 1/2 step w/ 10-46 strings.

This deserves a bump. I'm sure that '69 basketweave cab isn't hurting the tone any. :D I'm surmising those are pre-Rola Greenbacks or of a similar vintage?

Thanks for the bump! That cab is part of a 1969 Plexi Super Lead full stack that I bought years ago and both cabs w/ the "100" logos had 55hz pre-Rola 30w Greenbacks. I sold the top cab to a local customer and the 100% original Plexi head went to Eric Johnson. I kept the bottom cab but already had a great sounding 30w cab. So I pulled the 30's harness and all and they are stored away. The cab has a quad of Rola early '70's 25w Greenbacks w/ 003 cones.

Love what you’re building, killer tones and built EXACTLY how I’d like it. I’m in the UK so costs would likely get a bit mental (and I have a stupid amount of Marshalls right now)
