Pre-dates the pyramids and some mesopotamia...

7,000 years old

You know why Euro Americans destroy Native sites like this, is because it is not their heritage, it is ours .
Look at all the Earth Mounds Cities that were destroyed along the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers. From the 1700's to the Present .

So it is no problem for them to pave over or dig up our Ancestors or their older settlements.

A few years ago, during a Freeway construction project , in San Diego , they found Mastodon bones , a species with flint points in its ribs and facial area, that species of Mastodon became extinct over 280,000 years ago .

Most of Florida's original Native people's were originally of Caddoian or Southern Algonquin ethnicities.
They traded goods, directly or indirectly, to / from Arawak ethnic people of the Caribbean Islands and received goods as far south from the Maya, Olmec , traded with the Mississippian Cultures along the Mississippi- Missouri River trade network and as far north as the Great Lakes region .

I suggest reading a book called "1491" , by Charles C. Mann .

When he first published his book, he was viewed as a Pariah.
And when scientific data and new research based on the questions he brought up , he was hailed as a hero.
Carbon testing, on the bottoms of the Great Lakes, Lake Titicacu, old Lake Texcoco, Lake Peten, Lake Nicaragua, Lake Paracho and Lake Chapala . Proved by carbons on the lake bottoms, that the Americas ( North, Central, South) had a population of over 140 million people, before Colonialization began in the late 1400's .
