Curious as to what this actual does.
Is it a total scoop of mids or just shifts the freq of the mid control.
The clips some of have heard still sound like the mids s are there perhaps just cutting upper mid bite and focusing the lower mid???

herbert manual:
"The section Mid Cut incorporates controls for Intensity and Level. Designed for friends of Heavy or Nu-Metal type musical styles, the Intensity control attenuates low midrange at approximately 400Hz. To compensate for the inevitable volume loss when activating this feature, one can bring the volume level back up with the Level Control.
This Mid Cut function is MIDI assignable and can therefore be assigned to any or all of the three channels. If you don’t want to use the Mid Cut function, then it can be used as an additional programmable volume control with the Intensity control set to 0 or off. This gives your Herbert 8 programmable volume options!"

If I´m not stupid that would be 4 volume options, right ?

Is that wrong in the manual ?

EDIT: It seems I have to read the manuals by myself.
It´s only 4 volume options.

Sorry,
Peter

Cool info ,but by scooping or attentuating the low midrange 400hz does that actually put focus on the upper mid?? . so essentially you lose the fatness but gain more bite???
does cut really mean scoop mids or put the emphasis on the upper mid so they you have more lows and highs coming through and a less thick mid

I wouldn't say it loses fatness. Low midrange around 400hz is often referred to as 'boxy' sounding.
