Midi channel changes on Revolt guitar

G'day Folks,
Trying unsuccessfully to get my old Boss ME 5 multi effects unit to change channels on my Revolt guitar unit via Midi. Multi effects unit changes channels on my Marshall 30th Anniversary head no worries with the Midi switching, so I'm clearly missing something configuring the Revolt... Should I be in the Midi learn or Midi channel bit of the menu?? Any help for this technically challenged dunce would be much appreciated!!
