I have exhausted my search and now I need to post.

I purchased a brand new midi mate. I was planning on buying a loop 8 but they were on back order from everyone. So I purchased a voodoo labs GCX switcher. In controller mode i can get buttons 5-9 set to turn on one loop or do momentary switch of my amps channels. I can not get buttons 1-4 to work at all tried tons of different settings. You probably get this a lot but what settings do i need to control the GCX switcher. Or if it is even compatible with the midi mate.

the gcx switcher operates on midi channel 16
data value of 127 turns on the loop 0 turns it off. Do those numbers correspond to 1 and 128 on the midi mate
controller numbers are loop 1-8 =80-87 and for momentary switch loop 1-8 =104 to 111

I have gotten everything to work on the 5-9 buttons but nothing on the 1-4. I see it is receiving data but it does nothing at all.

Basically it boils down to i can work it like a real pedal board but can not make any presets with the 1-4 buttons

at some point in the future this will also need to control a randall RM4

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

got a reply from rocktron.

You might choose to change the EPROM in your midi Mate to a version 1 model which does allow all 10 switches to send CC#'s in controller mode. They are $20 plus shipping.

just so the answer is out there.

Has anyone changed over the little white switches for more sturdy metal ones?

Hello I´m new on this forum .
So I´m in the same situation that you are Mixdiver but with another gear wich is a very cheap Behringer Vitualizer pro DSP2024 as a miltieffects unit to my Marshall JMP-1 and Just got my brand new Rocktron Midi Mate but I´ve been able just to surfing within the factory presets of the DSP2024 because it requires to be sent a "CC#0" with value 1 for to swtich the users presets.
well I´m completely new on midi things but just digging in the Midi mate user manual and as far as I understand the procedure is as follows:

>on midi mate access mode "controller "

>press "edit function select" to "controller assignment"scroll

>then press to reach button 5 (BTN5)

>press "bank adjust" to change OFF and assign "MIDIcontrol number" required wich is 0

>????   then I´m lost because it supose that I have to set a "controlValue " 1 for to change from factory to user mode on the DSP2024 but I can´t find where and how to set this values that as far as I Understand goes from 0 to 127?.

So any help would be greatelly thankfull.
