Mighty Mite replacement necks

Good necks if you can buy them cheap enough. I can't see paying $125+ when you can get a Warmoth neck out of the showcase for just a bit more.

I have heard that the intonation on mighty mites and warmoths can be off.
I've heard USACG is the way to go. Musickraft are supposedly good too.
Just some feedback that I've heard.

They're ok...hit or miss. For the price, its hard to beat Musikraft, Warmoth, or USACG.

EDIT: I have owned a dozen or more Warmoth necks and never had an intonation issue. The only way for a neck to be the sole source of intonation problems would be misplaced frets or an incorrect heel carve. Seeing as they are CNC'd, I find that highly unlikely.

I have several necks from Warmoth, Musikraft, and USACG. All have there pluses and minuses, but no issues with intonation.

I have one with an ebony board on a strat - it's ok. I did a fret level after getting it, and it plays well... but it wouldn't be my first choice for a 'bolt and go' install. If you have the ability to do a fret level, it wouldn't be too bad. My Warmoth necks needed the same thing but I didn't end up taking as much material off the top... and no intonation issues on either brand necks. I'd be surprised that any new neck from anywhere would have intonation issues unless you installed it on the wrong style body or one where it didn't fit properly.

they have some higher end ones that are ok but I hate the hot or miss on the dot spacing.

Go with Musikraft, they'll build you one to you excat specs...I have 8 or so of them

I highly doubt the intonation issue on a Warmoth. I've had 10+ necks, and all have had spot on intonation.

Mighty Mite and Warmoth are in completely different leagues.

Doubt the intonation issues if you want.
I heard it from a well respected guitar tech who said he hated to see warmoth necks come in the door as they were often off and the owners wouldn't/couldn't believe it.

Here's a story where a neck had to be redrilled as to fix an intonation issue.
I'm no setup expert and was merely passing along info I had heard from a respected source.
There's something to be said for a body and neck coming from the same place. Probably be OK if everything lines up...if not could be trouble.

Mighty Mite has had known issues with using wood that shrinks quite a bit leaving some nasty fret end issues. Had 2 that had this very issue. USACG is a good choice, and Warmoth has always been good for me. Never used Musikraft, but they have a good rep.

The problem in that thread was the OP used the wrong bridge, and that caused his problem.

I have not experienced, nor heard of any intonations issues with any of the Fender licensed dealers. I am not saying it can't happen, but it is just not that common enough to be a concern.

Intonation is going to be a moot point on a part manufactured with modern tooling like 99% of guitars are. Again it is going to be an issue with the mounting to the body and bridge location.
