MIK Schecter PT's vs MIM Fender HH Blacktops?

I have the black Schecter PT and I love it. Put in new Duncans and a Warmoth neck, but outta the box it was great value.

I may pick up the new one in Metallic Gold, but wanted to see if anyone else around here has tried them recently and compared them to each other.

Yes - Have tried both and preferred the Schecter. It seemed more resonant than the Fender, which sounded constipated/muffled to my ears.

In fact, I liked the MIK Schecter so much that I bought one of the USA production PTs.

Cool! I love my black one and can rod this one up for a bit less than the USA PT's. If I wasn't on the budget, I'd go USA PT. The MIK really surprised me outta the box. I pulled the trigger on the Gold Top this morning. Looking forward to it. Cheers!
