Mills Acoustics Afterburner - 212 vs. 412

Anyone played the 212 and 412 side by side? How does the 212 stack up to the 412?

Good question Matt but probably not a ton of answers here. In our experience, most guys tend to be 412 OR 212 players. It's not what I'd call common to have guys who run both. But we certainly have had quite a few so just email me and I'll give you some contacts, if you'd like.

IMO, the difference is about what you'd expect....a bit tighter with smaller "footprint of dispersion" , not quite as "room filling" as the big 412, but a powerful, articulate, crushing little monster, nonetheless. And certainly easier on the back muscles.

I guess another good question is what application are you planning on using the cab for? Gigging? Basement jamming with friends? Bedroom solo player?
I have a friend who gigs about twice a month and he has always been a strong 4x12 advocate. He now leaves his 4x12's at home since he picked up a certain 2x12 that he loves.

I love the Mills 412. I own one - I made the mistake of selling off the other one. I was thinking of going 2 Mills 212s to run my Axe FX in stereo.

I ended up just ordering another 412 from Mills a few minutes ago. I won't make the mistake of selling one again.

I'm not 100% sold on it being as good as tubes yet, but I'm sure I'll get there. It does live up to the hype
