anyone here using them? they look pretty awesome to be fair, plus the unloaded one is priced £420-ish direct. get the speakers later if i got one, would be cheaper putting the celestions in here.

Where did you get the price quote from?

The only UK dealer i know of, is Mansons.. and they are selling the loaded 4x12's for £1299 each!

The only other way to buy one would be factory direct from the USA, but the shipping would be over $500 alone.. I have heard those Mills cabs are backbreakers :D

 got the price by using a currency converter from $659

My Mills Acoustics Afterburner 412B is the best cab I own (or have played). I'm thinking of selling my Mesa Road King cab and buying another Mills. Nothing quite fills the room like the Mills cab. I've owned a handful of Mesa cabs (oversized, standard, road king), marshall cabs and a lopoline 412 as well. None of them sound close to the Mills, IMO. It's the least directional cab I've ever played through. Stays tight and focused no matter what you throw at it. My Diezel Herbert, cranked up, with the bass and depth maxed (just for fun, not where I normally set them) couldn't make my V30 loaded Mills waver at all. No flub, no farting, still tight as could be. I've stood 8-10ft away from the cab at a complete 90 degree angle to it and it sounds almost as good as standing right in front of it. I've only had the cab a few weeks and it's already made me a huge believer in Mills' product.

they are killer cabinets man, the build quality is exceptional, and the baffling design is unique and really works. One of the very very few pieces of gear I've tried that lived up to the hype, and exceeded it. Super tight full lowend, very balanced and resonant, and they project very well.

I worked it out approximately, and you're probably looking at around the price of £850 unloaded after you've bought it, shipped it and paid import duty. Then you gotta load in the speakers too, which will be anywhere from £150 upwards.

So in total it would be like £1000 or so..

Maybe a few pounds heavier than my Mesa Road King (same size as oversized 412). If you've ever lugged around a full sized Mesa cab, the Mills won't be any worse. Compared to my Mesa Stiletto/Standard 412 or Marshall 1960, the Mills is a lot heavier.

I already hate lugging Marshall cabs around :D

I'm ordering mine in a month or so. Already talked to Dave, super friendly and helpful guy. Can't wait

I seriously think I'm going to NEED this cab to handle the punishment of Fortin's natas amp, which I'm also getting later this year.

Seriously man, just grab yourself a Marshall 1960 and load it with whatever speakers you like! You will save a ton of cash that way, and you will have a KILLER tone!

I use 3 different 1960 cabs and they all rip, even with different speakers! I scored 2 of them (original 70's ones too), on eBay for less than £200 each!

Don't underestimate the Mills until you actually played one, they are awesome. Compare right here:

Couldn't agree more. I liked my Marshall 1960 cab, but it's a far cry, both in sound and build quality, from my Mills cab. Nothing wrong with the Marshall, but the Mills blows it away, IMO.

They are awesome cabs. I compared one side by side with my Diezel 412 (USA made) and my Bogner ubercab. The Diezel has been sold and I have 2 Mills Afterburner straight cabs on order.

What speakers did you get in yours, Matt?

Dude were they loaded with 75's or something? If so, then i can understand the shrill top end. I had one loaded with 75watters and the sound was shrill enough to loosen your fillings.. Very scooped, with lots of lows and way too much top end.

If you load them with V30's, Greenbacks, G12-65's or H30's, they are ANYTHING but shrill. Trust me, i am not into shrill/overly bright tones at all, and i am over the moon with the tones I'm getting with my Marshall 4x12's :)

If you got the chance to play through my G12H30 loaded 1960 cab, i put money on it that you would be converted
